ADOPTED!!

Joe & Princess

Joe & Princess were living as part of a feral cat colony in a swampy/woodsy area at an industrial park. When the business decided that they would no longer tolerate them being fed at the location and destroyed their feeding station we had to save them!

Joe has a unique bent ear, and Princess prances around with her large floofy tail held high!

They are very bonded and ready to start looking for their VERY special forever home.

They have acclimated nicely to being indoors but still are learning to relax and understand what it means to be safe and loved forever.

The ideal adopter will have patience, LOTS of love to give and will be willing to allow them to advance at their own pace, no matter how long that takes.

It has taken a bit of time but Joe has begun to 'ask' for pets during feeding time again .

Princess is becoming more trusting and loves to play with dangle toys and lays up in her cat tree to look out the window.

If you are interested in knowing more about these two, please reach out to their foster at crazy4mykitties@gmail.com or fill out the adoption application on our page!

Both cats are fully vetted and microchipped :)

ADOPTED! Picasso

This one eared work of art is a cancer surviving warrior and is ready to find his furever family!

Originally a T-N-R (trap neuter return), his colony caregiver reached out to us for help with a wound on his ear. Well, it turned out to be squamous cell carcinoma (common in light skinned outdoor cats). His ear was removed and then the process of socialization began…

SURPRISE! He went from a terrified street cat to a boy begging for pets and tummy scratches. He would still prefer a quiet home with no dogs or young children but seems to do well with other cats (proper introduction required of course).

Picasso is fully vetted and microchipped. FIV+. He has sensitive skin and ears (prone to yeast which is easily remedied) but with a belly full of high quality wet food he is happy!

ADOPTED! - Casey Jones

Casey Jones Is ready for his furever home!

I challenge you to find a more loving, animated and handsome tuxedo boy.

CJ is under 2 years old and full of energy. He needs loads of attention and is always underfoot wanting pets and snuggles.

He loves to throw his paws around your neck and give sweet kisses before curling up on your lap to relax.

He’s so full of love that it’s as if he can’t express it enough!!

CJ loves to play, run, chirp and jump as if he never dreamt his life could be so happy! Pictures in no way can convey the amount of love and sunshine this boy gives to the universe.

We love him so very much and he brightens our day so this is going to be a tough goodbye but he deserves to live like a little prince he is after spending his first year on the streets!

If you are in need of a companion who will make you laugh and smile every day please come meet Casey Jones.

ADOPTED! - Little & Sam

“Little” is a perfect pint size girl! She is petite with a cute little head and a very unique profile.. Such a cutie!

Little came from the same location as her friend Sam after her caregivers had to move away. She had been on the streets all of her life and went thru the Trap-Neuter-Return program, never knowing the simple pleasures of life such as a warm bed or feeling safe.

She is SO affectionate and falls at your feet begging for love. She is VERY energetic and will chase her feather toy like a champ. She gives the cutest inquisitive looks and has such a great personality. Little loves other cats and seeks affection from them as well.

All she wants is to live the rest of her life being spoiled rotten. She is in perfect health and would love to be adopted with her senior friend Sam! They have been together her entire life and look forward to their retirement together. For more information you can email chalkyscatcrusade@gmail.com and fill out our adoption application!

“Sam” is a sweet senior lady who is looking forward to retirement in a calm and attentive home! Don't let her old age fool you, she LOVES to get her feather toy bird and will hunt it down until she wears herself out so she still needs playtime. Her cute grey tail looks like it was stuck on her along with her grey "hat". Such a unique and exotic looking girl!

Sam was abandoned on the streets when her original owners moved away. They just left her behind to die!!

Lucky for her, the people who moved in after took good care of her but could never bring her inside due to severe allergies. They loved her so much that they reached out for help when it came time for them to relocate! So Sam and her BFF Little came to live with us at Chalky's.

It's time for her to enjoy her golden years in a cozy bed, not outside!

Sam must be adopted with Little. She is VERY confident and walks around other cats like she owns the place.

Her favorite past-times are:

Being brushed
Being Petted
Being told she is beautiful
Making biscuits
Purring loudly

Being a senior cat she needs a bit of extra care but nothing complicated! She takes a powder in her food each morning and evening to help her digestive system and like all senior cats she will need to have blood work drawn 2 times a year but she is purrfectly healthy otherwise!

ADOPTED! - Crow

Crow is a 9 year old beautiful boy who has been with us since July. When he was trapped for TNR at his colony he gave us a big SMILE and we knew this special boy was not going back outside!!

He was in very rough shape. Crow was malnurished causing his fur to turn red, he was covered in lice and had many open wounds. His upper teeth are all missing with the exception of a fractured canine at the gum line. Now, with proper nutrition, medical treatment and a loving foster home his battle wounds have healed and he is ready for a special furever home!

You will need to be patient with him early on and continue to make him feel safe. Once he opens up he will greet you with a big “meow” and give you a snaggle tooth smile! He flips and flops all over, enjoying the love and attention of a good petting and play time. Crow seems enjoy the company of other non-aggressive cats so we would love to see him be adopted with his best gal pal Gabby! He gets lonely and depressed on his own because he came from a very large colony. Crow loves listening music and enjoys being sung to. He’s an old soul!! Crow has been neutered, microchipped, received rabies & FVRCP vaccines, dental surgery, dewormed and treated for fleas. Crow is FIV+ but that’s no problem! FIV is not contagious to humans nor transmitted to other pets thru casual contact, food, water, sharing a litter box, grooming or sharing toys. You can learn more about FIV here! Crow will need to be on a strict diet due to ongoing GI issues meaning his food must remain consistent. He is not on a prescription diet at this time.

If you are interested in welcoming Crow in to your home please complete the adoption application and we will be in touch!

Ophelia - ADOPTED!

When we trapped this sweet house panther back in May, her extreme mosquito allergy had left her nose a bloody mess, she was emaciated, her small body was full of mammary tumors and she was pregnant, again. She would have never made it thru another birth in her condition!

Luckily, we were able to get her the immediate lifesaving care that she needed before it was too late.   She is a strong woman and recovered from her surgeries so she is now looking for a loving furever home!!

This beautiful girl loves to have her head and belly rubbed, she adores attention and will tell you all about her day! She will lay next to you while you are reading and will chirp if you stop petting her. She has become quite the lap cat in the last few weeks as well!

Ophelia still gets spooked if you move too quickly and will need a very loving and patient home where she can continue to learn to trust.  She will hide when she feels unsafe, but this behavior will lessen as time goes by and she adjusts. She seems to enjoy the company of other cats with proper slow introductions of course and comes out of her shell when she has a companion (Odin, Crow and Gabby are her buddies)!! She is approximately 4 years old.

She has been spayed, microchipped, received rabies & FVRCP vaccines, dewormed and treated for fleas. Ophelia is FIV+ but that’s no problem! FIV is not contagious to humans nor transmitted to other pets thru casual contact, food, water, sharing a litter box, grooming or sharing toys. You can learn more about FIV here!

If you are interested in welcoming Ophelia in to your home please complete the adoption application and we will be in touch! Ophelia must either be adopted with one of her friends or go to a home with a cat friendly cat.

ADOPTED! - Gabby

Gabby showed up at a small feral colony where one of our fosters works about 5 months ago. She had eluded traps up until a couple of weeks ago when she walked right in to the doors of the business! Our foster was well prepared as always and was able to trap her immediately. Seems this little lady knew it was time to retire from the streets and start living the good life!

Gabby is between 1 and 2 years old and has the most wonderful disposition. She spends her day grooming her two friends Ophelia & Crow so she would love to be adopted with one of them (Crow is her best friend) or go to a home with a friendly cat to love on. She craves attention, loves being petted and provides loads of meows and slow blinks to show her appreciation.

She has been spayed, microchipped, received rabies & FVRCP vaccines, dewormed and treated for fleas.

If you are interested in welcoming Gabby in to your home please complete the adoption application and we will be in touch!

Introducing Miss Saffron!

We all know that saffron is worth more than gold…

Saffron is a rare(ish) full orange female tabby kitten! She is about 5 months old and was spotted at a huge colony of cats living under a building and prancing around like a princess! I trapped her and started her socialization work immediately. First purrs, slow blinks & biscuit making all happened within 2 days!! Saffron is still learning that people are her friends so you have to move slowly with her. She is worth the effort and you will be rewarded with loud purrs, biscuit making and fun kitten play time! No more living under a building for you sweetheart!! Saffron has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for flea’s and tested negative for FIV & FeLV.

ADOPTED! - Odin

“Odin” was originally trapped by Cat Man Chris Poole as part of a huge Trap-Neuter-Return project he was doing. This poor guy has been thru so much. Eye removal, teeth extractions and street living…but none of it has dampened his spirits! Odin is between 3 and 5 years old and loves to be petted and socialize with other cats. He is still learning that claws and bites are not nice (he has no upper teeth tough!) so he will need a furever home who is patient and understands how to work with an overstimulated cat. He has been neutered, microchipped, received Rabies & FVRCP vaccines, dewormed and treated for fleas. Odin is FIV positive but that’s no problem! FIV is not contagious to humans nor transmitted to other pets thru casual contact, food, water or sharing toys. You can learn more about FIV here!

“Rosa” was originally trapped as part of a Trap-Neuter-Return project. When she was in recovery it was discovered that she was full of head butts and purrs and certainly did not belong on the mean streets of Tampa! Rosa is approximately a year old and is very energetic. She has been spayed, microchipped, received Rabies & FVRCP vaccines, dewormed, treated for fleas and tested negative for FIV, FeLV & heartworms. If you are interested in welcoming Rosa to your home please complete the adoption application and we will be in touch!
